Strain: Money Bagg Runtz
Who: The Fire Society x Joke’s Up!
Aroma: Ol’ Dirty Bag of Money, Library Books, Holitosis and Garlic core, slight edge of sour Pine.
Structure: Good selection of medium-sized nugs. Nice trim, manicure, and cure, with more kief than crystals on the surface. Mostly money green with some purple poking through when broken apart. Packed tight, but pulls apart like a marshmallow.
Palate: Dead Mint, Earthy Hazelnut Dough, Almond Panna Cotta, Dusty Musk finish with a tinge of Sawdust.
Effect: Medium Strength – Super Relaxing, Calming, Comforting Head Pressure. I’d bet some moneybaggs this is an indica.
Overall: Breaking open the jar on this lid is like breaking open a vault of old, old money that has been traded through many hands. Dusty books round out the jar smell until I break open the bud; which uncovers an extremely funky, garlic and onion breath pepper with a hint of pine sap. It’s like having a conversation too close to a woodsman who has just finished a blue cheese steak and has a bad tendency to not brush his teeth. I’ll be honest, each time I break up a bowl, I keep dipping my nose back. It’s intoxicating.
Smoke is thick like smog, and has that slightly cool mint flavor that resembles freshly minted paper currency. The exhale brings me into GSC and Sunset Sherb flavortown with its earthy, dough notes that have a shade of milky shaved almond thrown in. The palate is rounded out with a subtle woody note that’s covered in dust, like the top shelf at a library.
Overall, I really dig this strain and it was a nice change of pace from most of the sweet, fruity, gelato strains that permeates the market. Definitely gonna be grabbing some more fire from The Fire Society and Jokes Up! for the future.
