Overall:
That batch of Lemon Cherry Gelato I reviewed recently was so fantastic that it piqued my interest in the sister strain, Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato. From what I know, this is supposed to be just another phenotype of LCG, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Tearing open the pack is no easy task, and requires scissors. Familiar tones to the LCG, but this is unique; it’s musky, with melted pizza cheese, cherry smelly marker, and fresh-cut grass. The LCG didn’t have any of this and was much more focused on the lemon floor cleaner and dusty, dark fruit gelato musk.
Unfortunately, this pack completely filled with smalls, and I only had one nug out of the entire pack that could work for the close-up. Still, the bud is fresh, sticky, and lathered in crystals.

Now, for the moment of truth… the inhale is where I find that familiar lemon peel chemical cleaner, but it opens up into a delicate, vanilla bean sweetgrass, and then returns to the citrus before finally settling into a lingering fresh-cut grass finish. It’s almost a replica of the aroma, but still has its own layers; and I’m a little surprised that none of the gelato rubber musk comes through. I’m not usually a fan of grassy terps, but this is done very well.
Gotta say, I prefer the original LCG, but still hold this Platinum version in high esteem. The bag of smalls sold as a regular pack kinda bum me out, but I’m willing to look past that for now.
The Fire Scale:
8/10 flame-skuh-hoobies 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
